About Jovan Jones:
From 1995 to 1997, Jovan Jones lived in a South Indian ashram and traveled with a Hindu guru. She earned her M.A. in political science from Harvard in 1998. She taught Social Studies and Language Arts and was chosen Teacher of the Year. Currently she serves as a mentor facilitator to increase teacher retention and efficacy. She and her son live in North Carolina.
