Part of the series, 'The Contemporary Christian', authors John Stott and Tim Chester, talk about the ideal church, while keeping in focus the reality of living in this world.
Outlining changes we need to make in our own lives as well as those we need to be aware of within the church setting itself in order to become the church that God intended.
Stott and Chester contend that the one that lies at the centre of God's purpose, the one Christ gave Himself for, 'to purify for Himself a people that are His very own' are us, the church, and we should therefore be acting accordingly to glorify God through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ.
