Probably the three of the most well known kings of Israel were Saul, who was the first king of Israel, David, who before becoming king, fought, and killed the giant Goliath, and Solomon, who asked God for wisdom.
Long after the reigns of these kings ended, a different king would come. This king was born in a stable, not in a palace. He healed the sick, loved the poor and the needy and was without any sin. This king is Jesus, God's Son. He is different to all the kings that had gone before Him. His greatest victory was when he died on the cross and rose again.
