The modern and certainly world view of Christianity today is a list of rules. Do's and Don't seems to be what it is all about. But if that's what we think then we shouldn't be surprised to find we actually have a lot to learn.
The key to understanding Christianity is not something we have to do, but rather something that the Lord Jesus Christ has already done on our behalf.
This book, by one of the most well known and respected Christian preachers of the last 200 years, looks at what Christ has done for us. Read it and then ask yourself the question "If Christ has done all this for me, is there anything too much to do for Him in return?"
About the Author:
Charles Haddon Spurgeon, the great Victorian preacher, was one of the most influential people of the second half of the 19th century. He was known as the 'Prince of Preachers'. His sermons drew thousands to the church where he ministered and he became a leading campaigner against liberal theology. Yet his hearts desire was to preach for the sake of love for all those he came in contact with, this desire that meant that his pastoral ministry was also greatly important to him.
