The amazing true story of Fatima Rifqa Bary who moved from their native Sri-Lanka with her family to the United States when Rifqa was only eight years old.She then became a Christian at twelve years of age converting from the Islamic faith in which she was born and raised.
Rifqa and her family were living in Ohio, when Rifqa ran away in 2009 making national headlines. Claiming that her father, who was a devout Muslim, had subjected her to dreadful abuse and threatened her life. Rifqas experience caused a storm of controversy, and highlighting the issues faced by some women and converts from the Islamic faith.
